Mobile Hotspot is a tethering feature available for $10 a month that allows you to use your Cricket smartphone as a portable wireless access point. You can tether your cell phone to a laptop, tablet, or other connected device using wireless LAN (Wi-Fi) or with a physical connection, such as a USB cable.
With Cricket's Mobile Hotspot feature, you can use tethering to connect six (6) devices at the same time using Wi-Fi or a USB cable. What are the Requirements for a Mobile Hotspot? To use Mobile Hotspot you'll need an eligible phone and:
Cricket Wireless only offers hotspot data with their unlimited plans, so we'll go over the differences between those two plans briefly. Cricket's Unlimited Plan gives you 22GB of data at 3G speeds; those 3G speeds also apply to the 10GB hotspot you can add on to it. In other words, you're not getting a full speed, 4G hotspot with this plan, you're getting a 3G one.
